Peanut Butter Basil Milkshake
This recipe is worth your time. It’s for good reason that I said before I was not done with the basil and peanut butter combination. It’s a delicious combo that was meant to be—perhaps even more so than PB&J. Add ice cream to the mix, and you’ve got a perfect cocktail. This is not a lie.
This may be the sweet gateway to peanut butter basil heaven if you thought my PB & Basil sandwich was a bit out of the ordinary. This shake is so delicious that guests won’t know what it contains—it’s so tasty they won’t even care. It’s our little secret. Our delicious little secret.
This recipe can be veganized by using soy, coconut, or almond-based vanilla milk and ice cream. While I used powdered peanut butter, you can use the real thing if powder is not available. You can make it yours by adding your twist.
Ingredients
- Fresh basil, lightly rinsed (and dried).
- 3 tbsp Peanut Butter Flour (like PB2)
- 4-6 cups vanilla ice cream* (I used light)
- One splash of milk* (any type)
Instructions
- Wash the basil if needed before blending.
- Add more ice cream if you want a thicker drink. Add a little milk if you want a thinner consistency.
- Serve immediately with a bit more peanut butter and basil and a swirled whipped cream (in chilled glasses if possible).
